Welcome to Selkie Explorer’s schedule page for 2021.
It is a roller coaster of a ride over the shock waves of Covid. As I write this, it is the fifth day of the new year and I am putting together a schedule that I fervently hope Selkie will sail to.
Please get in touch and I will see what I can do to help make your voyages happen. When boats were operating last year, the government required a 2 metre distancing rule. This is not possible on a Selkie holiday so for our multiday trips we will waiting for a change to that ruling and be requiring vaccinations for the crew and as appropriate for guests.
I am accepting bookings from the end of June on the above conditions. I apologise to those of you who have already been in touch and received a variety of different answers as to how Selkie will be operating. The below dates and specified type of voyage available will hopefully guide you to your dream trip and give something for everyone, from families, friends and individuals. Please get in touch with Selkie Explorers using our Contact page.
Selkie sleep 6 to 8 guests, depending on bunk occupation. You will have a skipper and crew for your time aboard. Some voyages will have a talented chef to conjure up incredible, locally sourced meals while other trips will have emphasis on surveying wildlife and a more hands on approach to all aspects of boat life. Which ever voyage you select we will be so happy to welcome you aboard, to sail with you, show you this area’s beautiful coastlines, spectacular wildlife and share our stories of life amongst the islands and far flung lands we have sailed to. There are beaches, walks, waterfalls, caves, rock pools, swimming, walking the boom, fishing, wildlife watching, as well as learning to sail this big beautiful boat. I hope you will join us for a wonderful sailing season.
